Hilton: Nov. 25, 2013, Jean A. Hand, 94, Predeceased by husband, Francis L. Hand; her parents, John and Helen Nundy; her brother and sister-in-law, James "Doc" and Dorothy Nundy. Jean is survived by her children, John (Virginia) Hand, James (Barbara) Hand, and Jill Galbraith; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jillena) Hand, Dr. Jeanine (Brendon) Harrigan, Joanne (Michael) Spencer, James Hand; Aimee (Dr Timothy) Bruns, Ryan and Jeannie Galbraith; great-grandsons, Stephen and Oliver Hand, Mason Harrigan, David Spencer and Austyn Galbraith; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Jean was a 30-year retired custodian of Hilton Central Schools and lived on the same Hamlin family farm her entire life.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Flowers respectfully declined. Donations would be appreciated to Judd's Children's Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation, 500 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607 to help find loving homes for adoptive children. The fund was started in memory of Jean's beloved husband, as they both felt passionate about the cause.

Survived by husband, Stuart; mother, Claire Scamman; brothers, Curtis (Linda Valentino) Scamman, Drew Scamman; sister, Beatrice (Walter) Kiesow; nieces and nephews, Walter Kiesow Jr., Libby Collins, Joseph & Katherine Scamman, Alexander & Sasha Anastasoff. Elaine had a long association with the Genesee Yacht Club from 1986-2012. She sailed all those years on Lake Ontario. In 2001, Elaine raced a boat with an all women crew, some whom never sailed before. They all became close, like a family. She also supported Women's International Service.
