Rochester: On March 3, 2012. Predeceased by his parents, Theresa & William Hart; brothers, Charles, Kenneth & Donald. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; sons William (Deborah) & John Hart; grand-daughters, Kim (Karl) Cummins, Susan Hart & Jennifer Hart (Will Burton); great-grandchildren, Geoffrey & Alexandra Cummins; many beloved nieces & nephews.
Bill always enjoyed sports: high school swim teams, baseball, basketball, hockey & football. A lifetime member of the YMCA. After December 1941, he joined the Army and became a surgical technician. He landed on Normandy Beach, D-Day +1. After serving in the Army, he came home and became a member of the newly formed Kodak Fire Department. These days were Kodak and family times, (and well, maybe a little horse racing at Batavia Downs). He was a member of VFW American Legion, a 32 Degree Mason, and also 17 years as the Treasurer of the Native American Cultural Center, as he was a member of the Mohawk Indian Tribe. His favorite times were with his friends at McDonald's Greece Ridge Mall, Tops & Wegmans.
Friends may call Friday, 1-5 PM at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Ave., Hilton. In Lieu of Flowers, those wishing may contribute to the Native American Cultural Center in his memory, 121 Fitzhugh St., Rochester, 14614
