ROCHESTER NY: Formerly of Danville, IL. Passed from this life Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester. Vera was born August 25, 1913 in Veederburg, IN. to Oscar and Emma King. Vera attended the Lawson Road Church of Christ in Greece. Survivors include her daughter, Tina (John) Brazas of Hilton, NY; and her grandchildren, Jeremy T. Barazas, Shawn A. Barazas and Shannon M. Barazas.

HILTON: Peacefully on March 26, 2002, at 66 years of age. HAMLIN: On February 4, 2002, age 85, she died peacefully at Genesee Region Home Care Hospice of St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She is predeceased by her former husband and is survived by her 4 children, (the 4 J's); Jack (Karin) Bailey of Lyons, NY, Judy (Scott) Hinrichs of Hamlin, NY, Jim (Mary) Bailey of Appleton, WI and John Bailey of Rochester, NY; a sister Alberta Nickleson of Ft. Worth TX; brothers, Raymond (Janet) Bartholomew of Lancing, MI; Jim (Gloria) Bartholomew of LaPorte, IN; and 4 grandchildren, Erin and Sarah Hinrichs, Jason and Derick Bailey; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
    Evelyn was born February 15, 1916 in LaPorte, IN to Ray and Marie Bartolomew. She was Baptized and confirmed at the St. John's Lutheran Church, LaPorte. Married to Air Force Sgt. William C. Bailey, she raised her family in various parts of the country; Ft Worth, TX, Limestone, ME, Blue Island IL and Rochester, NY. She played piano and sang in various groups, including the Parsells Avenue Baptist Church Drama Club, Jack and Jills, and the Choir of the former St. Mark's Lutheran Church (Brighton). She was a former resident of Plymouth Gardens Apartments before moving to Hamlin Terrace Apartments. She was a member of the Seniors Group at both the Hamlin Terrace Apartments and St.John's Lutheran Church.
Into the Paradise of God, may the Angels lead you, Mother, and at your coming, may the Martyrs receive you and take you into the Holy City of Jerusalem. May all the Choirs of Angels welcome you and with Lazarus once poor but now rich, may god grant you rest eternal.
