Murray, Catherine "Katy"
KENDALL: Gone to be with the Lord on September 17, 2002 at age 34 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Katy is survived by her parents, F. Gilbert and Patricia Murray; brothers, Kevin (Dawn) Murray, Kenneth Murray; sisters, Christine (Jack) Bolton, Karen (Neil) Witoff, Carol (Rob) Fagan; 14 nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles; and many special friends. Katy was a graduate of Brockport High School (1987), also attended GCC for Sign Language. She was a Special Olympic Athlete in basketball, volleyball, field hockey, swimming, track and field, and won many blue ribbons. She was President of the Self Advocacy with L.A.I. She initiated the Tae Kwon Do Program for L.A.I. She earned her purple belt and was the class leader. Katy was a baseball, football fan, and a Doug Flutie fan. During her lifetime Katy enjoyed camping, softball, bicycling, travel, and the Lifetime Assistance Recreation Group.
