Palmer, Iris (Gould)
Hilton: Iris Palmer, 81, unexpectedly on Dec. 29, 2007. She is survived by her children Trevor (Rose) Palmer, Martin (Peggy) Palmer, Clive (Pat Rybke) Palmer, Tom Deline, Jim (Avery) Deline, Gary (Wanda) Coon, Bobby LaPlant, Steve (Alissa) Cole, Scott Cole; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, William on Dec. 2, 2007. Iris was in England's Land Army during WWII and enjoyed her time as a Red Hat Lady while living in NC.

Elba: George R. Reeves, 77, December 28, 2007. Survived by children, Natalie (Tim) Ophardt, Dorothy Reeves, Elizabeth (Melvin) Heinsburgen, Louise Sprague and Rick Toole; sisters, Shirley Reeves and Peggy VanRoo; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.

Woods, Mildred N.
Hilton: December 20, 2007. Mildred N. Woods, 94. She was predeceased by her husbands, Milton Butcher & Walter Woods; her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn & Roger Judd; son, Wesley Butcher & grandson, Tom Allen Judd. Survived by her children, Richard (Carole) Butcher, Myrtle (John) Wigen; 15 grandchildren, including Kellie Hudson with whom she made her home; and many great-grandchildren.

Hilton: Peacefully, Dec. 20, 2007. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ethel Ohls; nephew and neice, Stanley Ohls and Brenda Ortego; and the many friends she made while residing at Hilton East.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harry Schouten; her son, Harry; daughter, Deborah (James) Barlow; granddaughter, Shauna Lynne Barlow; her brother, Dick (Bev) MacKenzie; sister, Violet (Allen) VanDorn; several nieces and nephews, including #1 nephew, Fred Harrington. Gladys was the "Best mom, grandmom, aunt and sister God ever created."

Spring, Clara A.
(Henretty and Enustun Families) Hilton: Peacefully, December 19, 2007. Our beloved mother, grandmother and "Babci" came to the end of her long journey in life. She was 93 years old and the eldest of 6 children. She often said "The world surely has changed during my life time." She was born before women could vote and so wanted to see a "Woman President." Family always came first and nothing was more important than her 7 grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them. Clara was predeceased by her husband, George; her sisters, Wanda Roz, Betty Ross and Jane Mancini. She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn (Jerry) Easton, Nancy (Tom) Henretty; her special grandchildren, Steven (Holly) Enustun, Scott Enustun, Michael (Leeanne) Henretty, Sara Kate (Michael) Whallon, Tracy (Steve) LaFountain, Katie (Jim) Mann, Stacey (Jill) Enustun; and she was "Babci" to her 16 great-grandchildren; her sister, Violet Dybas; her brother, Albert Roz; many nieces and nephews.

Hilton: Suddenly, Dec. 12, 2007, in Zephyrhills, FL, Bob La Due, 61. He was predeceased by his parents, Sidney and Dorothy (Bonter) La Due. He is survived by his aunt Iva Kenyon, several cousins and friends. Bob was a retiree of Rochester Products.

Jean Thompson

He was predeceased by his sister Betty Palmer. William was a Green Beret in England's Royal Marines and was a Master Mason. He and Iris had recently moved back from Wilmington, NC.

Hilton: Nov. 30, 2007. Robert D. Sweeney, 84. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou. They celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on October 25th. Also survived by his children, Donna (Edward) Zarpentine, Daniel, Gary (Linda), Joseph, John (Kelly Peter), Tim (Robyn) Sweeney; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Bob was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of I.B.E.W Local 86.

Davies, Sandra (Smith)
Spencerport: Sat. Nov. 24, 2007, Sandra Davies, 62. Predeceased by her parents, Donald & Trudy Smith, and her husband Thomas Davies, 2006. She is survived by her children, Patrick (Tina), Brendan & Sean (Melanie) Davies; her grandchildren, Kenzie and Colin; her brother, Donald Smith, her partner, Anthony Mujsce; many other relatives and dear friends. Sandy graduated from Spencerport High School in 1963 and received her Associates Degree from R.I.T. in 1966. After raising her family Sandy worked at Sporting Dog Specialties (Later PetSmart) as a supervisor in the Personalization Department. She was selflessly devoted to her family. Sandy served in a number of volunteer roles as Cub Scout Leader and school aide for her sons' and grandchildren's' activities. She was also actively involved in community activities as a 4-H leader, Garden Club member and a "Master Gardner".

Hamlin: Nov. 23, 2007, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Polatas. Survived by his wife, Mary DeMor; his sons, Anthony and Nicholas; father, Robert DeMor Sr.; his brother, Leonard DeMor; sisters, Shelley (Scott) Roegner & Kristine Penna; several nieces and nephews, including his Godson, Brian Penna; and his faithful companion, his dog Blue.

Rochester/Summerfield, FL: Passed away peacefully on his birthday, Nov. 18, 2007, to join his wife of 52 years, Barbara, who passed away Sept. 23, 2005. He is survived by his children, Thomas Reger of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Robert (Josie) Reger, Hilton, William (Jan) Reger, Hilton, Catherine (Rodney) Comfort of Lyons. Hamlin: William L. May passed away suddenly Nov. 15, 2007 at age 83. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Shirley (McManamon) May, children; Thomas (Evelyn) May, Kathy (Dennis) Addis, and Susan May. He also leaves 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandsons with one on the way and many nieces and nephews.

Greece: Arline V. Jurhs, 89, Thur. Nov. 8, 2007. She is survived by her children Richard (Judith) Jurhs, Catherine (Robert) Hilbert, a brother Vincent (Nora) Riccioni, sisters; Theresa (Albert) Mort and Jean Sanberg, grandchildren Michael (Terri) Hilbert, Cindy Albrechtsen and four great grandchildren.

Howland, Bernice
Brockport: Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed into God's care on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. She was predeceased by her first husband, Isaac Buckeridge, her second husband, Donald J. Howland, a step-daughter, Donna Mae Howland, three sisters and a brother. Mrs. Howland was born in Monticello, WI in 1908, the daughter of Sheriff Jared S. Fessenden and Mary Wright Fessenden. She worked for years as a legal secretary and later as court reporter for Rock County Judge Mark Farnum in Beloit, WI. Mrs. Howland joined her daughter in Brockport after her retirement and lived for a number of years at Royal Gardens, then at The Landing, and finally at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center. No matter where she lived or with whom she came in contact, her reputation was that of a lady. Strong, intelligent, articulate and courageous, she was a truly remarkable person. Bernice loved to entertain her family with favorite old melodies on the piano or ukelele.
     Family was everything to her and she was everything to them. Her memory is treasured by her daughter, Mary Fessenden (Field) of Brockport, step daughter, Colleen Peck of Beloit, WI, son-in-law David W. Field of Brockport, grandchildren Michael Kadar-Kallen (Kimberlee) of Harrisburg, PA, Amber Kallen-Monroe (David Monroe) of Brockport, Mary Irene Peck and Donovan Peck of Beloit, WI, Brooke Field (Dawn) of Tampa, FL, nine great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Josiah, Lydia, Anna, Mary Rose, Eliza and Kateri Ka dar-Kallen; Linnaea and Liam Monroe; many nieces, and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to her family of caregivers at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center and the members of Lifetime Care Hospice.
     A Graveside Service will be held Fri., Nov. 9, 10:30 AM at Lakeview Cemetery in Brockport. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Newsome, Floyd G.
Hilton: Floyd G. Newsome, 77, suddenly Nov. 6, 2007. He is survived by his cousin, Doris Avel, brother-in-law, Robert (Louise) Smith; 2 nieces, Donna (Jim) Hay, Judy (David) Gerstner and dear friend, Mark (Joyce) Padoleski. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene (Smith) Newsome in 2006.

Silloway, James E.
Hilton, NY/ Naples, FL: James E. Silloway 72, owner of Monroe Fluid Technology, died suddenly Nov. 5, 2007 in Parma, NY. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Mary; children Scott (Meredith) Silloway, David (Erica) Silloway, Julie (Tim) Gabriel, Kelly (Douglas) Sample, Paul (Kristina) Silloway; step-children, Allan (Tammy) Rice, Andrew (Marie) Rice, Amanda Rice; mother of his children Nadine Silloway. He also leaves grandchildren Jared, Justin, Cameron, Aiden, Autumn, Brian, Mark and step-grandchildren Joshua, Dylan and Amber; and special friend, Alan Christodaro. James was a member of the Ridgemont CC, in Greece and Quail West CC in Naples, FL. He was a pilot, a graduate of Aquinas Institute and St. John Fisher College.

Hilton: Suddenly, Oct. 17, 2007, Brian E. Harris, Jr., 31. He is survived by his beloved wife, Meagan (Knapp); Daddy of Maura J. Also survived by his parents, Brian E. Sr. & Sandra (Steinmetz) Harris; his sisters, Jennifer (Paul) Blackwell & Christine (Matthew) Schnackenberg; 3 nieces, father and mother-in-law, Theadore & Joanne Knapp; brother-in-law, Ted Knapp; grandparents, Margaret Harris, Theardore & Norma Knapp, Paul & Helen Mahaney, Gabe & Barbara Borrelli; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brian was a highly respected health education teacher at Greece Central School.
